Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know before your vehicle gets coated. Still curious about something? Request a quote and ask us directly.
Is ceramic coating worth the investment?
For most vehicle owners, yes. A ceramic coating locks in a deep, mirror-like shine, shields your paint from the Arizona sun, and makes every wash dramatically faster for years — not the weeks or months you get from wax. It also helps preserve your paint, which protects your vehicle's resale value.
How long do ceramic coatings last?
It depends on the package you choose. Our Ceramic Lite is rated for 1 year, Ceramic Pro for 3 years, and Ceramic Ultimate for 5 years. With our recommended Coating Maintenance Wash visits, most coatings reach or exceed their rated lifespan.
Will ceramic coating prevent scratches and rock chips?
Ceramic coating adds a hard, slick layer that resists light swirl marks and makes minor scuffs less likely — but it is not armor. Rock chips and deep scratches can still happen because the coating is measured in microns. If chip protection is your priority, ask us about combining ceramic with paint protection film.
Does ceramic coating eliminate the need to wash my vehicle?
No — but it changes washing completely. Dirt, dust, and grime don't bond to the surface the way they do on bare paint, so rinses take minutes and most contamination slides off with a gentle foam wash. You still wash your vehicle; you just do it far less often and far more easily.
How is ceramic coating different from wax or a sealant?
Wax and sealants sit on top of the paint and wear off in weeks to months. A ceramic coating chemically bonds to your clear coat and cures into a durable, glass-like layer that lasts for years, while delivering stronger UV and chemical resistance and a much deeper gloss.
How long does the application take?
Most full coatings take a day. The process is a decontamination wash, paint correction polishing, panel prep, and finally the hand-applied coating that is leveled and cured on site. The coating itself then continues curing for the next several days — we give you simple care instructions for that window.
Do you come to me?
Yes — we're fully mobile. We bring the whole process to your driveway or garage across Tempe, Scottsdale, Mesa, and Phoenix. A shaded area or garage is ideal for the best cure, and we'll talk through the setup when you book.
Which package should I choose?
If you keep your vehicle longer than a couple of years or want maximum protection, go with Ceramic Ultimate (5-Year). Ceramic Pro (3-Year) is our balanced middle option, and Ceramic Lite (1-Year) is a great entry point. Coating packages start at $699 — if you're unsure, request a quote and we'll recommend the right fit for your vehicle and budget.
How should I care for my coating afterward?
Wash with a pH-neutral soap and a micro-fiber wash mitt, avoid automatic brush washes, and dry with clean micro-fiber towels. Skipping the harsh stuff keeps the hydrophobic finish beading like new. Our Coating Maintenance Wash service handles a deep clean, inspection, and a fresh top-off so your warranty stays on track.
Can you coat glass, wheels, and trim too?
Yes. Our Ceramic Ultimate package includes a 20,000 mile glass coating, and we can add protection for wheels, trim, and other surfaces. Mention what you want covered when you request your quote and we'll include it in the plan.
